Mobile Technology in Clinical Research

Summary:

On Wednesday the 7th February, PhUSE organised its third successive Netherlands Single Day Event (SDE). Themed ‘Mobile Technology in Clinical Research’, this year’s SDE focused on the use of mobile technology such as wearables, sensors, and smart devices within the life sciences industry.

The agenda featured presentations from technology and service providers as well as big pharma and academia. The huge potential that mobile technology offers has been demonstrated very clearly, but we’ve also reflected on the potential challenges and risks that such technology introduces.

With nine presentations between opening and closing we had a full programme, but there also was sufficient time for networking amongst the international audience. It was a great day with a very positive atmosphere and strong content. Based on the early feedback the SDE was highly valued by its attendees.

Event chairs Paul Vervuren and Jules van der Zalm would like to thank all the presenters and their companies, the sponsors, everyone who helped organising the day, and of course all attendees, for making PhUSE SDE Utrecht 2018 a successful event.
