North Carolina Museum of Natural Science (less than a mile from the Convention Center)

North Carolina's most-visited museum, the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences is also the largest museum of its kind in the South.

North Carolina Museum of History (less than a mile from the Convention Center)

The state of North Carolina is widely known as the place where the Wright brothers made history in 1903 by achieving the first powered, controlled flight in a craft heavier than air, but North Carolina also has many more firsts!

North Carolina State Capitol (less than a mile from the Convention Center)

The State Capitol building, built in 1840, is an excellent example of a civic structure in Greek Revival-style architecture. Though recently renovated, the building does contain some original furniture.

Raleigh Beer Garden (less than a mile and a half from the Convention Center)

Raleigh Beer Garden is making a run for the "operational beer tap" world record. This beer bar offers 366 separate varieties daily with a focus on N.C. craft beer and local brewing companies. The two-story establishment features a rooftop "garden" for outdoor seating in the heart of downtown Raleigh's Glenwood South entertainment district.

Pullen Park (less than two miles from the Convention Center)

Pullen Park, the state's first public park, it's also the fifth-oldest operating amusement park in the U.S. and the 16th-oldest operating amusement park in the world. It hosts thousands of visitors throughout the year for its cheap amusements and its beauty.
