The School Bags Teaching Us A Lesson

Few people could fail to be moved by the achievements of School in a Bag. Established by one of our EU Connect 2018 keynote speakers, Luke Simon, and run by the Piers Simon Appeal, the initiative aims to give “the chance of an education to poor, vulnerable, orphan and disaster affected children throughout the world.” Taking into account the fact that 262 million children do not have access to a school, their mission is no mean feat.

Since its inception in 2009, School in a Bag has packed and distributed over 100,000 bags to children throughout the world, offering every one the potential to transform their lives.  PhUSE is proud to have helped increase the number of bags due for distribution, during our four-day event in Frankfurt, when over 430 bags were funded and packed. Those who were unable to attend this year’s EU Connect can visit the School in a Bag website for more information or to fund a school bag.
