An Insider’s Guide to Foster City

It is now time to register for the Single Day Event (SDE) in Foster City, California. In preparation of the SDE, we thought we would take a look at the best the city has to offer.

Did you know that Foster City is a man-made island? That means, for the sports enthusiasts and adventurers among us, there are 16 miles of navigable canals to canoe your way in and around. For those looking for more of an adrenaline rush, Leo J. Ryan Memorial Park is home to a lagoon, where you can windsurf, paddleboard or even ride an electric boat. If you prefer to watch from the sidelines, the lagoon is surrounded by green parkland, perfect for walking or picnicking in. Fortunately, the temperate weather in Foster City means all of these activities are at your disposal most days.

Geographically, Foster City is a short drive to San Francisco, famous for the Golden Gate Bridge and its nouveau food trends, as well as Palo Alto, Half Moon and East Bay. If you have time, we thoroughly recommend you making the short drive to see some of the most famous landmarks in the world.

Closer to home is a variety of restaurants, located throughout the city, offering a vast selection of food options. There are also plenty of coffee shops and bars to lounge in after a thrilling day at the SDE.

Most importantly, Foster City will be hosting the first US SDE of the year. The event, based near the FDA headquarters, is a great opportunity to network with professionals and organisations, whilst listening to the most up-to-date news from the pharmaceutical industry.
