Organon

FDA/PhUSE Annual Computational Science Symposium
Call for Posters Overview

The call for posters application is available by clicking here.

Presenting a poster is a great way to present an accomplishment and solicit feedback from industry’s best and brightest.  As a way of making poster presentations more interactive, software demonstrations can complement the poster showing the application of a business process as supported by the software.  PhUSE welcomes demonstrations to support and explore the posters that are presented.  Best poster will be recognized and will be offered the opportunity to present their poster at the closing session.

The purpose of the software demonstration is not for companies to sell their software.

PhUSE and the FDA do not endorse any particular commercial software or vendor.

Suggested Poster Abstract Topics

  • Data submission standards development, implementation, and best practices
  • User experience/evaluation of current processes and tools and the subsequent impact on organizational performance
  • Needs and specifications for proposed new tools and processes
  • Business processes driving information systems development
  • Impact of processes and tools on problem solving quality, efficiency and cost

Guidelines for Submitting Abstracts

Please submit all poster abstracts online.

All abstracts must be received by January 27, 2012 and authors will be notified by February 15, 2012 if their poster has been accepted.

General Submission Requirements

All poster presentations must be noncommercial and scientific in nature and may not be used as a marketing opportunity. Mention of drug products must be limited to generic names, with no inclusion of brand names in any area of the poster, including poster titles and handouts. Logos and advertising may not appear anywhere on the poster.

Submitted abstracts must include the following sections:

  •  Abstract Summary (about 1000 characters)
  •  Whether or not you would like to do a software demonstration

If an abstract is accepted, one author or co-author must attend the meeting to present the poster.

Preference will be given to submitted abstracts that address business case studies and applied use of technology.

Posters should be four feet high and three feet wide (4’x3’).
