September 26th 2014
On September 26th, Genentech hosted the latest PhUSE Bay Area Single Day Event. The theme of “Data Visualization” attracted a diverse of over 80 professionals across clinical science, clinical operations, bioinformatics, clinical data management, biostatistics, statistical programming and analysis, safety science and other data-driven fields.
Arrays of fascinating presentations were given from the FDA, the University of California at Berkeley and many healthcare industry experts. Various business cases were shared and insights discussed between panelists and attendees.
Of special interest was hearing the FDA’s efforts in further data visualization tools to enhance their medical data review efforts. The audience was fully engaged during the day, exit feedback from attendees was extremely positive. We hope this event further stimulates interest in this discipline and helps to pave the way towards an evolutionary change in data analysis in the healthcare sector.
