Key Performance Indicators & Metrics
Collecting, tracking and evaluating data on an ongoing basis can provide organizations with credible, compelling information when communicating with key decision-makers and stake-holders. At the March 2016 Board Meeting the PhUSE Board endorsed a new project to categorise, standardise and collate reporting metrics.
The PhUSE Data Science & KPI Metric Reporting Group (a cross-industry working party that covers all global regions and company types) has been working to establish a set of common Data Reporting Metrics which are more detailed than industry wide metrics, therefore, allowing a greater level of granularity in our project reporting, and business process management.
The working party has standardised relevant terminology and definitions and agreed on an initial globally acceptable set of standard reporting metrics in the area of clinical data science
These metrics, with their definitions, is to be sent independently to life science industry companies in order to collect their information through an online survey.
Once the metrics information has been gathered a summary report will be produced. No individual company responses will be shared – only summary data where there are at least four companies per reporting group.
As with all PhUSE material, the summary report will be published on the PhUSE website. Companies which contribute will receive the report three months ahead of industry wide release. The process will be repeated annually with the same release plan in place. Furthermore, participating companies will also receive an annual comparison report from year 2 onwards.
