PhUSE Board of Directors
PhUSE is an independent, non-profit organisation that is registered as a not-for-profit limited company in the UK. There are currently two legal guarantors that sit on a Board of 13 Directors. Together these 13 people drive all aspects of PhUSE including the conference, the Single Day Events, Membership and all other training and links within the industry.
This allows a structured approach to enable the growth of the organisation.

The Annual General Meeting of the society (AGM) will be held at the Annual Conference every October to which all ordinary members are eligible to attend.
Becoming a PhUSE Committee Member or a PhUSE Director
PhUSE is a growing society and as such
the most important thing for the society to succeed and to grow is
stability. Each of the Directors has a sub-committee. Any member of PhUSE can speak to a Director regarding any open positions on sub-committees. With he except of the conference sub-committee each sub-committee consists of around six people who will work with the Director to achieve the vision.
Each year there has been a natural turn over of Directors with approximately three people resigning. During the fourth quarter each year, all the members of all the sub-committees will be contacted and asked if they would like to apply for a Director position.
In the December Board Meeting, the Directors will discuss all nominations that have been received and then will appoint people into the available roles to start January 1st on the following year.
There may be, on rare occasions, where there is a business need to appoint specific people with specific experiences. If this is the case then after asking the committee members for nomination, if nobody is suitable for the role then the Board reserve the right to appoint from outside of the committee pool.
PhUSE Committee
To make PhUSE successful, it is vital to have a large pool of resource to help out with many tasks to ensure the smooth running of PhUSE. The major event each year is the work involved with the annual conference, but many different tasks (conference section chairs, website, newsletters, single day events, etc.) also require assistance.
