A colleagues just send the deatilas of OPEN CDISC. It looks like as a good example of Open Source Philosphy applied to Pharma : http://www.opencdisc.org/about-opencdisc.

What do you think ?

I've been at a FDA conference this week and OpenCDISC were there in the exhibition hall. I spent time talking to them and watching their demo. When I was in large Pharma we had in-house e-Sub validation software and it reminded me of that.

Their software is neat, easy to use and the output is user-friendly.

I hope that they will have a Tutorial at this year's PhUSE Conference in Berlin.

What I could ascertain from my meeting is that it is an open source platform built by people for the greater good of the industry.

I'm sure there will be 'paid for consultancy available should you need more 'traditional' software support.
